Die erste Begegnungszone im Kanton Thurgau wurde in Eschlikon, beim Schulhaus an der Blumenaustrasse erstellt.
Verkehrsberuhigte Strassen haben in Eschlikon einen hohen Stellenwert. Schon heute lebt ein Fünftel der Einwohner Eschlikons in verkehrsberuhigten Quartieren. Neue Erschliessungsstrassen werden generell verkehrsberuhigt erstellt.
